Reiki Dharma Newsletter Volume 8, January 10, 2003
Dear friends! Welcome to the eighths Reiki Dharma Newsletter, and
thank you for your patience. I wish you and your loved ones as well
as everyone else on Planet Earth all the best for every single moment
of the New Year 2003 and beyond. May the flowers keep showering upon
you, whatever you may do, and wherever life may take you.
Winter has come and the powers of nature are pulling back into their
roots. They are gathering strength for the cold season- and for the
growth of next spring. This play of action and inaction, of exhaustion
and recuperation, of sound and silence keeps life pulsating. In the
opposites all tensions disappear as if by magic.
This time I would like to tell you a story, for this is what I spend
a lot of time with recently: writing stories.
You did not know me
You did not know me then. You walked by and I sat watching you. Then
you sat down and I moved, watching you. Passing close to me, eyes wide
open, you failed to see me. Was it that I stood too close, the fragrance
of my perfume intoxicating your senses? When you looked at me that first
time, you saw what I see now when I perceive you . Big steps, small
steps, all the colors of the rainbow flash through a crystal pyramid
of movement. Sometimes you stop, you speak to someone that you know.
I do likewise, but say nothing, better thus to know you. Occasionally
we walk together hand in hand.
We do not speak, but know we understand the other's silence. And then
our eyes will meet, brushing souls like young leaves in the gusts of
spring. We turn away too shy yet to pass that sacred doorノ until we
meet again. ------------
This summer a ten- year old dream came true for me. I took the first
part of the Reiki- Master Training (Shihan Kaku = Assistant Teacher)
with Chiyoko Yamaguchi and her son Tadao in Kyoto. This was a very special
experience for me, the culmination of my research in Japan. The last
project in this direction will be a book on Dr. Hayashi, written in
collaboration with Tadao Yamaguchi, which I will tell you more about
at a later date. It will be published in German and English in the spring,
when the leaves are turning green...
The year 2002 was one of great personal changes for me. I left Japan
and am living in Duesseldorf, Germany now. I had left my hometown when
I was seventeen, spent several years in India with my spiritual Master,
Osho, and then followed him to the USA. After six years in America,
life took me to all the corners of the world, and finally to Japan,
where I stayed on for 11 years. Now one life cycle has completed and
I am back where I started from. The same faces, the same trees and the
same buildings all seem so different now. I have finally accepted who
I am and where my roots are.
To inaugurate my new home, I will offer an intensive Reiki- Master
Training in Duesseldorf from February 9-15. The course language will
be English with possible translation into German. The cost for the training
is Euro 2000, including one meal. Participants will learn how to initiate
into all Reiki Degrees. Spaces are limited... please contact me as soon
as possible if you are interested at:

A New Reiki- Book
A couple of months ago, I finished another Reiki- book with my dear
friend Walter Luebeck. We spent a delightful time collecting the most
useful Reiki Techniques from the Western Reiki Tradition, and put them
into perspective as far as their practical application, their possible
outcome and their philosophical background is concerned. The book has
been published in German , with the title Reiki, die schoesten Techniken.
Windpferd Verlag, ISBN : 389385391X. Those of you living in German speaking
countries can order a copy over the internet, or through your local
bookstore. The English version will follow within the next three months
or so, and will be published by Lotus Light Publications, Wisconsin.
I will let you know when the time has come, and hope that this book
will make practicing as well as teaching Reiki more pleasurable and
rewarding.
Thank you for your love and support, with love and gratitude from
Germany,
Frank Arjava Petter
